How The Eggschange works
A simple UK classifieds site for hatching eggs, poultry and equipment. Sellers list for free, buyers contact sellers directly, and we never take a cut.
Selling
Free to list, 0% commission.
- Create your free account. No card details needed.
- Submit your listing. Choose a category, add photos, price and location. There’s no payment step.
- Go live straight away. Your ad runs for 90 days, and you can renew it free from My listings.
- Buyers contact you. By phone, WhatsApp, email or the message form on your listing.
- Arrange it directly. Agree collection or posting and payment with the buyer. Live birds are collection only, no courier for live birds. Hatching eggs and products can be posted. We take 0% commission.
Buying
Free to browse, and no sign-up needed.
- Browse or search. Filter by category, breed or location.
- Contact the seller. Their contact details are on the listing, so you don’t need an account.
- Arrange collection or posting. Live birds are collection only, with no courier. Pay the seller directly, and check the birds or eggs before you commit.
Stay safe: meet in daylight, see birds before paying where possible, and never pay by bank transfer to someone you can’t verify. Read our buying guides.

Is it really free?
Yes. There are no listing fees and 0% commission. If we ever add optional extras like featured placement, basic listings will stay free.
Do I need an account to buy?
No. Anyone can browse and see seller contact details. You only need a free account to post a listing.
How long do listings last?
90 days, and you can renew free. Please mark items sold so buyers only see what’s available.
What can I list?
Hatching eggs, chickens, ducks, geese, quail, turkeys, coops and housing, and feeders and drinkers. Listings must follow our terms and UK animal welfare law.
